Medical Information (General)

Rather than a collection of journal articles dealing with a specific area of the CRPS picture, these resources are more in the style of being jumping-off points for your own research into certain topics. Thus, these articles use keywords like "Resources", "Network", "Services", "Clinic", "forum" and the like in their titles. Lastly, with a few excellent exceptions, articles in references like these tend to be less deep, since they have so much material to cover. BUT - they're often the place that researchers begin with, since they have so many leading references.

As always, new material is designated by a small blinking bulb (), which will disappear after one month.

There's a new, valuable addition to this page, as you can see to the left. This utility just became available from, and highlights the new results in pain management that is of interest to visitors to this site.

National Guideline Clearinghouse

The National Guideline Clearinghouse (NGC) is an initiative of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. "The NGC mission is to provide physicians and other health professionals, health care providers, health plans, integrated delivery systems, purchasers, and others an accessible mechanism for obtaining objective, detailed information on clinical practice guidelines and to further their dissemination, implementation, and use."

These guidelines can get quite large, but I feel it's always better to have more information than what you were seeking. Here are a few selection titles, linked to the guideline on the NGC site (years refer to either publication or most recent revisal date):
